Chap Goh Meh!!!

Hey foodies out there happy Chap Goh Meh, And once again its another year for singles to have the tradition of throwing oranges in to the lake as a sign of hope to net the right partner, to those who are in penang should go out and joy yourself as its the last day of the CNY!! 

***As i am sure the streets will be jam packed and dont forget to bring an umbrella in case it rains.***


Most importantly is that we spend our time with our family nothing beats good food when your mom cooks good delicious homecook meals for you and your family! Happy Chap Goh Meh and have a Prosperous Chinese New Year.




Facts:

In Hokkien dialect, it means the 15th night of Chinese New year. It is celebrated with prayers and offerings to mark the end of the Chinese New Year. Houses are again brightly decorated with lights for the last day of the celebration. Legend has seem young unmarried women throwing tangerines into the sea hoping to find a good husband. After this day, business as usual and everyone is looking forward for the next Chinese New Year.
