Happy Malaysia Day!


Malaysia Day is held on 16 September every year to commemorate the establishment of the Malaysian federation on the same date in 1963. It symbolizes the joining of Malaya, North Borneo, Sarawak, and Singapore to form Malaysia. Since the year of 2010, it has become a public holiday.
           
            Malaysia has a rich cultural background from various ethnicity and each race has brought along their very own unique cuisine. It makes us Malaysian oh so spoilt for choices and no where else in the world has food so tantalizing as our malaysian cusine.

            Nasi Lemak is a malaysian staple and its famous for its fragrant rice and spicy curry flavor. It is truly a dish that unites us all as Malaysian. Regardless of race, we all enjoy our very own nasi lemak bungkus.



One of our most famous Nasi Lemak in Penang is sold at the Sri Weld Food Court at  Beach Street, . It is only selling at the price of RM 1.70 per packet where you have a choice of anchovies, prawn, cuttle fish, salted fish and fish. The fragrant aroma of the rice and be enjoyed within meters from the stall.
Each nasi lemak is wrapped by banana leaves to lend the aromatic fragrance to rice wrapped within it! Super delicious and also super economical!
